 The Chemung
County Fair was a long and tiring four days for the Trinity
riders, who camped on site - but we came out with loads of ribbons
and several championships!! The undisputed star of the weekend
was Jennie, who rode Rusty in EVERY division - hunter/jumper,
western, English, and dressage!! She impressed everyone with
her toughness and grit jumping some pretty intense courses on
Thursday and Friday, then slowed it down to win reserve champion in
the novice Western division on Saturday. On Sunday she rode in
two divisions - running back and forth between two arenas to ride a
training level dressage test and take third in dressage equitation,
and then blowing away the competition with a grand championship in
the junior English division! Sarah also showed Rusty in the
Western division, with some great rides and a beautiful trail course
- he was definitely the trail champ!
Michaela did a great job on Opie in the walk/trot under 10
division, squeezing out a reserve championship after winning an
intense ride-off! She won the pleasure class and had some
great cavaletti courses, with second and third place ribbons in
very competitive classes! Gabby showed Opie for the first
time, taking several ribbons in the over 10 division and also riding
some nice cavaletti courses!
