NOTE: If you are trailering to Trinity Stables for a show, clinic or lesson with your own horse DO NOT FOLLOW the instructions on Mapquest if they route you via Wayland to Recktenwald Road.  Rectenwald is way to steep to haul a trailer (except for those with nerves of steel) and likely just dangerous for anything over a 2 horse.  So Instead of turning left on Rectenwald continue STRAIGHT on McCurdy Road.  Follow McCurdy to the end approximately 3 miles and turn left at the 'T" onto Hartman Road.  About 1/4 mile the pavement makes a 90 degree turn and do not follow the pavement but go straight up the dirt road.  About 500' turn left onto Keiffer Hollow Road and 1/4 mile up turn left at the "T" onto Acomb Road.  Trinity Stables is 1 mile up on the left hand side....FOR SHOWS OR CLINICS trailers enter the 2nd driveway please and follow the signs for Trailer parking.

A Photographer will be available for Trinity's August 26 Ride all day show.  John Caruso from Rochester will be on-site and has a passion for photographing equines in action.  Sign up on-site at his booth and preview pics the day of the show!  John's prices are reasonable and he's very talented.  See some of Johns pictures

Trailering We have a horse trailer to help you get your horse to the event, or you may lease one of our horses for the show!  Because we love shows so much, we are extending special pricing.  Usually it costs about $2.00/mile traveled.  So for an event like Houghton College, which is a distance of 91 miles round trip, that cost would be $159.00 just in trailering!  But we are giving you a great deal, here is how it works.  For shows that Trinity is planning on participating in a show there is a flat fee per horse to cover the costs of trailering, whether you use one of our horses or your own.  Of course if you are sharing a horse you may split the trailering cost.  Normally a show at Steuben County Fairgrounds is $35 in trailering, Hemlock is $25 in trailering, Chemung is $45, Syracuse is $65, Houghton is $45, Wyoming County is $40 and for long distance shows or shows that Trinity is not planning on attending, please contact us and we can give you a price quote.

Here is some more information we'd like to share with you to give you a rough idea of what you will experience during show season.

This is provided to give you some idea of what a typical show will usully cost.  Before each show we can give the price breakdown, as things like entry fees, stall fees, hauling fees, etc., will change from show to show.  It seems like it adds up to be a lot, but fees will vary widely, and some costs are split by sharing the horse with another Trinity rider.  Shows add on LOADS of experience and riding time, are great learning experiences, are great for goal setting, and are also a lot of fun!  We LOVE showing!

Entry fees /Class Fees– usually between $5 and $25 per class….average is about $8 per class.  The number of classes you do is up to you – most riders do around 5 but may times it's dependent upon what division you're riding in.   Dressage shows are per test, and are usually about $20.  Some shows (like horse trials) have a set fee for the day.  This is always determined beforehand so you won’t have any surprises and is always paid directly to the show organizers.

Stall fees – normally between $10 - $25 for a stall and this is only needed for overnight shows.    This is a cost that can be split between riders if they are sharing a horse which is usually the case and stalls normally have to be reserved in advance.  Also for shows that are over an hour away or start very early, we will usually try to reserve stalls.

Hauling Fees – fee for trailering, gas, loading, etc. – usually charged per mile, so it depends on how far away the show is!   This is another cost that can be split among the riders sharing the horse.   The cost for Trinity participation shows (shows we plan on attending) see pricing examples above.  For Trinity Sponsored shows (the on-site shows we're having in June, August, Sept and October) there is of course no trailering fee!

Coaching fees (Amy Becker)  – $45 - this includes riding coaching on show day, rides to and from show grounds, and assistance on show day.  A great part of the coaching benefit is debreif after the class/show all wrapped in encouragement.  A note on show prep- The 1st braiding lesson is free for students showing for the first time.  However, in the future if you choose not to braid yourself you can hire Amy to do that hours worth of work for $20 (good deal considering it's normally $50-55).

Horse Leasing fees - $75 a day, again, can be split.  Includes the use of the horse (flexibility is required if others are also showing the horse) and all tack, equipment , grooming, show prep and travel products.  Students already leasing the horse on a monthly basis (horse-share program) will receive priority over reserving the horse for the show.  Realize that when a horse is taken to a show, we can’t use it for lessons that day or it can’t be ridden by another share rider that may not be attending the show.

Show Clothes:  This is a one time cost of course however certain clothes are required for some shows.  Some shows have more strict guidelines than others however your instructor will be happy to give the details and guidelines on how to prepare & plan.  Besides catalogue’s and/or stores we’ve found  E-bay is phenomenal for finding some of the more expensive items for very reasonable…but be certain to plan ahead if you go the e-bay route!
